In September 2017, B + B launched the collaborative project "EthaNa" together with the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical-Biotechnological Processes (CBP) in Leuna and 10 partners to develop an innovative process for the alcoholic extraction of oilseed rape. EthaNa stands for ethanolic native extraction peeled rapeseed, on which the process concept is based. The alternative treatment line should be able to be integrated into conventional oil mills. In the project, which runs until mid-2021, the researchers want to assess the technical, economic and ecological parameters on a pilot scale. Further information can be found via this link.
